Welcome to The Historic Washington Avenue Armory.

When visiting the Armory, we understand that parking in the city is not easy. Here are some helpful suggestions.

Street and lot parking are free on the weekends.

189 Lark St. Parking (Washington and Spring off of Lark is free on weekends and after 5:00 pm on weekdays).

PLEASE DON’T PARK IN THE LIBRARY PARKING LOT.

There will be some parking spaces available in front of the building on Washington Ave - the location where you’ll enter the Armory for the party. Please reserve this for those that are handicapped or need assistance entering the building.

Directions

From the North:

Take the Northway (I-87) to I-90 East (towards Boston). Follow I-90 East to I-787 and take I-787 south to Empire State Plaza exit 3A. Follow the ramp signs to the Empire State Plaza and proceed along the ramp that goes into a tunnel under the Plaza. Stay in the right lane. Take right onto Swan Street. Stay in the left lane as you proceed up the hill and cross State Street. Continue on Swan Street take a left onto Washington Avenue. The Washington Avenue Armory is 2 blocks up on the left.(Corner of Lark and Washington)

From the South:

Take the NYS Thruway Exit 23. After the tollbooth go straight ahead onto I-787 north to the Empire State Plaza Exit 3. Follow the ramp signs to the Empire State Plaza and proceed along the ramp that goes into a tunnel under the Plaza. Stay in the right lane. Take right onto Swan St. Stay in the left lane as you proceed up the hill and cross State Street. Continue on Swan Street take a left onto Washington Avenue. The Washington Avenue Armory is 2 blocks up on the left.(Corner of Lark and Washington)

From the East:

Take the Berkshire spur of the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) into Albany. Take the first right after the bridge over the Hudson River and follow the ramp signs to I-787 south (towards the Thruway). Exit at the Empire State Plaza exit 3A. Follow the ramp signs to the Empire State Plaza and proceed along the ramp that goes into a tunnel under the Plaza. Stay in the right lane. Take right onto Swan St. Stay in the left lane as you proceed up the hill and cross State Street. Continue on Swan Street take a left onto Washington Avenue. From the West:
